Cardinal Egan Lobbies Against Contraceptive Coverage Measure
Mar 13, 2002 — The state's Catholic Bishops and Cardinal Edward Egan came to Albany to lobby against a Senate bill that would require some Catholic run schools and hospitals to pay for contraceptive coverage for employees. The Catholic leaders were more reluctant to speak about the growing child sex abuse scandal that has rocked the church in recent weeks. Karen Dewitt reports.
