High Speed Fiberoptic Network Fires Up

A new publicly-financed, high speed telecommunications network in the North Country will be up and running later this month. The $18.5 million fiberoptic line is 5 years in the making and will link 8 towns in St. Lawrence, Jefferson, and Lewis Counties. Operators say service providers are already lining up to use the network. David Sommerstein reports.
