Oct 25, 2004 — Dr. Robert Johnson is a long-shot in this election season. The Watertown-based surgeon is the Democratic challenger for Republican Representative John McHugh's seat in Congress. Johnson moved to Sackets Harbor from Michigan a year and a half ago. He works as a thoracic surgeon for Samaritan Medical Center. He describes himself as a disenchanted Republican. Johnson has no previous political experience.
