Nov 03, 2004 — In the 118th Assembly District in St. Lawrence and Jefferson Counties, first-term incumbent Darrel Aubertine pulled out a wider than expected victory over Republican challenger Scott Gray. The Democrat won by a nearly 2 to 1 margin. As David Sommerstein reports, the power of incumbency and an unexpected illness were too much for Gray to overcome.
