Apr 05, 2005 — Catholic churches across the North Country will hold special Memorial Masses for Pope John Paul the Second on Thursday. St. Mary's Cathedral in Ogdensburg will hold a Memorial Mass for the Pope at noon on Thursday. Father Scott Seymour, assistant rector at St. Mary's, says parishioners began stopping by the cathedral last Friday night as the Pope's health began to rapidly decline. He told Todd Moe that the Catholic church is in mourning this week.
