Mudslides Cause Water Problems in Westport
May 12, 2005 — A "boil water" order remains in effect in the Town of Westport, along Lake Champlain, after authorities declared a state of emergency this week. Mudslides near a ravine off Stevenson Road pulled apart some main water pipes, interrupting service to most of the town. Westport town supervisor Dan Connell told Todd Moe there have been three mudslides in the past week.
