May 25, 2005 — The Adirondack Park Agency held the first of five public meetings in Colton last night. The agency is gathering comments regarding the classification, or reclassification, of 78 parcels of forest land in the Adirondack Park. In St. Lawrence County, the focus is on one of them - a boreal forest that borders Carry Falls reservoir on the Raquette River. Environmentalists want to protect a rare habitat. ATV and snowmobile riders want access. David Sommerstein reports.
