Jun 28, 2005 — When school lets out and it gets steamy hot, the North Country's summer tourism really kicks in. One of the busiest spots is Alexandria Bay in the Thousand Islands. Thousands of people come to see historic Boldt Castle, hop on a boat tour of the St. Lawrence, and cruise the strip. Downtown Alexandria Bay is a carnival of restaurants, bars, and gift shops.
