Catholic Women "Ordained" on St. Lawrence
Jul 27, 2005 — Nine Roman Catholic women were ordained deacons and priests on Monday on a boat on the St. Lawrence River. The ceremony violated church law. The Vatican has never accepted women clergy. But it was a festive affair.
