Environmentalists Question Tupper Lake Powerline Plan

An Adirondack environmental group is asking the New York Power Authority to further research a proposal for a new power line that would serve Tupper Lake and the Tri-Lakes region. The Resident's Committee to Protect the Adirondacks says one of the proposed routes crosses forest preserve land and creates a possible conflict with the "Forever Wild" clause of the state constitution. As Chris Knight reports, representatives of the Power Authority say they're looking into the concerns.
