Queen of the River Reigns in Clayton
Sep 02, 2005 — The Antique Boat Museum in Clayton has the largest collection of inland pleasure boats in the world, and now it's home to an enormous houseboat dubbed the "grande dame" of the St. Lawrence River. La Duchesse is a 110-foot Gilded Age treasure that's become the crown jewel of the museum's collection. Earlier this summer La Duchesse was towed up through the Thousand Islands to her newly built 140 foot berth in Clayton. Todd Moe recently toured the historic houseboat.
