Broadway Diva Returns to Crane for Benefit Concert

Listen to this story
Acclaimed soprano Lisa Vroman played the role of Christine in Phantom of the Opera, touring for 9 months and then opening its long San Francisco run for 5 years. She reprised the role on Broadway. Vroman grew up in Jefferson county, graduated from the Crane School of Music at SUNY-Potsdam and now lives in California. She returns to Hosmer Hall Saturday night (7:30) for a scholarship benefit concert in memory of her stepfather, Calvin Gage, professor emeritus at Crane. Todd Moe caught up with Lisa Vroman and Patrick O'Neil, Music Director for the concert, in Snell Music Theatre. They talked about Lisa's career, life at Crane and her stepfather.
