Environmental Group Opposes Tupper Resort
Nov 03, 2005 — A pro-environment group has stepped up as the first major organization to oppose the Adirondack Club development in Tupper Lake. The Association for the Protection of the Adirondacks says large-scale resort developments like the Big Tupper project could splinter private land that has long been used for logging and wildlife habitat. Environmental groups have also raised questions about proposed large-scale developments in Jay, Old Forge, and North Creek. The association's Dan Plumley spoke yesterday with Brian Mann.
