Nov 17, 2005 — Potsdam town officials say they're not surprised by a lawsuit against a planned Walmart Supercenter on Route 11. Opponents of the project sued the company and the town in state Supreme Court yesterday. The Potsdam planning board last month approved an application for Walmart to build a 188,000 square foot store. The lawsuit alleges the town failed to enforce its zoning laws.
