The Tasty Art of Gingerbread

Listen to this story
Just as the oven begins to cool from the Thanksgiving feast, comes another seasonal favorite - Holiday baking. Fruitcakes, cookies and sweets are an annual tradition in many households this time of year. TAUNY is offering a chance to learn the tasty art of building gingerbread structures. Gingerbread architect Sue Wilder will offer a gingerbreading workshop this Saturday from 9 to noon at the Canton United Methodist Church. Two years ago, we visited a group of eager gingerbread bakers gathered in Canton to learn some secrets of making gingerbread houses - from cabins to castles. As Todd Moe reports, these novices got a head start on their edible real estate.
