Heard Up North: A Young Man Takes The TB Cure In Saranac Lake

Saranac Lake was famous fifty years ago as a cure-center for people suffering from tuberculosis. Calvin Beale is a researcher with the US Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC. But in the 1950s, he was one of the last TB patients who took the cure in the Adirondacks. Today in Heard Up North, Beale talks about his experiences battling the disease.
