Feb 08, 2006 — Clinton County Treasuer Janet Duprey kicked off her campaign to try and unseat incumbent state Assemblyman Chris Ortloff on Tuesday. The official announcement, made at stops in Plattsburgh, Malone and Saranac Lake, sets the stage for what's expected to be a hard-fought Republican primary in the 114th Assembly District, which includes Clinton and Franklin Counties and the Town of St. Armand in Essex County. As Chris Knight reports, Ortloff says he's ready for the challenge.
