(02/08/06) A new exhibit opens this Saturday at Traditional Arts in Upstate New York (TAUNY) in Canton. Hooked on the River features 10 hooked rugs by Prudence Matthews. They tell a rich and detailed story about Matthews' life along the St. Lawrence River. Since childhood she's spent summers at her family's cottage in Fishers Landing. Prudence Matthews told Todd Moe about her love of the river and rug hooking.
