Language and the culture of poverty in the North Country

We're running a series on language in the North Country. Jill Vaughan says you can't talk about language without talking about social class. Vaughn is a social worker in Malone who grew up on the "wrong side of the tracks." She says that the language of poverty can uplift - as well as limit - the lives of the poor. As she told Gregory Warner, it starts at birth.
