Jun 25, 2001 — The SEIU, which represents hospital and nursing home workers in northern New York is calling on legislators to adopt regulations guaranteeing adequate staffing at nursing homes. Employees at the United Helpers Canton Nursing Home could be a part of that effort, if they vote in favor of unionization next month.
