State cuts trees to "preserve" wild Adk views

Two state agencies are locked in a debate over a little-known practice: tree cutting on wilderness peaks in the Adirondack Park. New York's constitution bans logging on all state land inside the blue line. But the Department of Environmental Conservation has allowed cutting by its own crews to preserve mountain vistas. As Brian Mann reports, some Adirondack Park Agency staff members say the practice should be banned.
