Hosmer organ gets a new voice
Oct 05, 2006 — Audiences will once again hear a familiar voice in the concert hall at the Crane School of Music in Potsdam later this month. Over the last six months, experts from Syracuse have been renovating the pipe organ in Hosmer Hall. With massive pipes that reach to the ceiling, the Hosmer organ has been a centerpiece for many concerts and recitals. It was originally installed in the mid-70's. The organ overhaul includes a new console, repaired pipes, and the latest digital technology. Todd Moe stopped by during the final restoration work when the organ was "revoiced".
