Governor says Adirondack hunting camps should stay
Oct 13, 2006 — In a surprise move, Governor George Pataki has announced that hundreds of private hunting camps will be allowed to remain on timber lands once owned by Champion International. The decision drew praise from local government groups, but at least one pro-environment group has blasted the new plan.
