Oct 31, 2006 — Democratic Candidate for Governor Eliot Spitzer continues to cruise towards victory in his bid to replace the outgoing George Pataki. Spitzer is popular, 50 points ahead in the polls, and benefiting from the disorganization in the state's Republican Party that has led to a low-key campaign by GOP opponent John Faso.
