Preview: The Polar Express Ballet in Watertown

Listen to this story
Since its publication in 1985, Chris Van Allsburg's The Polar Express has touched the hearts of millions of readers. It tells the story of a Christmas Eve when a boy is awakened by a steam train that pulls up in front of his house and takes him and other children to the North Pole. Two years ago, the book became a movie, and this weekend a group of dancers in Watertown will bring the story to the stage as a ballet. Todd Moe spoke with Potsdam composer Bryan Burkett about this original ballet featuring the Northern New York Dance Alliance.
