Jan 12, 2007 — President Bush's plan to send more than 20,000 additional troops to Iraq sparked protests yesterday around the country. Hundreds of marchers crammed a traffic island in Times Square in New York City. Protesters also gathered in this region, with marches in Elizabethtown, Glens Falls, and in Saranac Lake.
