Forest rangers, Keene fire crews rescue hikers

Listen to this story
State forest rangers and volunteers with the Keene Valley Fire Department rescued two injured hikers Tuesday night in the High Peaks Wilderness. The crews braved bitterly cold temperatures that plunged to more than 20 degrees below zero. As Chris Knight reports, DEC officials say they also had help from New York City firefighters who were hiking in the area.
