NYC Mayor Bloomberg Lobbies Lawmakers to Take Control of City's Schools

A fight has erupted in the New York state legislature over the issue of giving mayors more control over schools in their cities. New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg is seeking approval to take charge of his city's schools, and any agreement could lay the groundwork for mayors of several other cities across New York to win control of school districts in their cities. But first, an argument between the Assembly and Senate must be resolved. Karen Dewitt reports.
