Jun 05, 2007 — Investigators were on scene yesterday trying to determine what sparked a fire that destroyed most of the Jackrabbit Inn outside Lake Placid Sunday night. Firefighters from more than a half-dozen departments were called to the motel, on State Route 73, after a passing motorist saw smoke coming from the building. As Chris Knight reports, the blaze also consumed the motel owner's home.
