?Smoky Fire? event on the St. Lawrence

A cross-cultural event this week on the St. Lawrence River is meant to build trust between Akwesasne leaders and Parks Canada officials. The "Smokey Fire" ceremony is part of a series of events celebrating the environment and Mohawk culture. The events will be held at St. Lawrence Islands National Park, a small, protected area in the heart of the Thousand Islands. The public is invited to a Mohawk traditional plant walk and games on Wednesday. Sophie Borcoman, a spokeswoman for the St. Lawrence Islands National Park, spoke with Todd Moe about this week's events on Grenadier Island
