Jun 30, 2009 — A group of artisans, musicians and authors share their talents and celebrate creativity at the annual Mare's Wares Arts Fest Wednesday. Jun 24, 2009 — Dozens of Adirondack artists have donated their works to help fund a social services agency in the southern Adirondacks. The artwork will be exhibited and sold at a silent auction this Sunday at the Fern Lodge in Chester, NY. Feb 24, 2009 — Artists are invited to join a newly revived arts group in Jefferson County. The North Country Artists' Guild has held a couple of organizational meetings so far this year. Nov 15, 2006 — Teens in the High Peaks are taking part in a series of arts workshops this fall hosted by the Lake Placid/Wilmington Connecting Youth and Communities Coalition in Lake Placid and Wilmington. In Wilmington, the program will be held Tuesday afternoons in the basement of the Church of the Nazarene (3:30-5:30 pm). The Lake Placid workshops are held Wednesday evenings (6-8 pm) at the Shipman Youth Center. Nov 21, 2002 — Paul Deo, an accomplished Neo Soul Artist and filmmaker, is visiting SUNY Potsdam this week, conducting workshops, working with students to create a mural, and putting on an art show. Throughout this week he's working with the Caribbean and Latin American Student Society, as well as other art students, to create and install a mural in the Ethnic Lounge of Unity at SUNY Potsdam.
Deo says his artwork is a combination of his own reality and imagination. He told Todd Moe he grew up in New York City and now lives in New Orleans.  Go to full article

Apr 03, 2002 — SUNY-Plattsburgh art students are teaming up to help some New York City artists who lost their studios in the World Trade Center on September 11th. The artists lost their life's work, equipment and materials.
