People: Clarence Petty, Adirondack Conservationist

Last month, 94-year-old Clarence Petty was honored with the Wilderness Society's Robert Marshall award for a career of activism in the Adirondacks. Petty is one of the most respected men in New York's conservation movement, having grown up in the mountains and lived most of his life in the woods.
