Civilian liaison to Fort Drum says installation in good position going into BRAC round
Watertown, NY, Feb 03, 2012 — Defense Secretary Leon Panetta announced last week that the military wants to close some installations as its reduces its force size and winds down the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The process is called BRAC, for "base realignment and closure."

Drum Boosters Braced for Base Closure Process
Jan 13, 2005 — This year the U.S. military will conduct its first base closure process since the Griffis and Plattsburgh Air Bases were closed in 1995.
