The Adirondack Carousel holds a Grand Opening in Saranac Lake this Saturday. The $1.3 million project is the culmination of years of work. A final push for a new carousel

Plans to build an Adirondack-themed carousel in Saranac Lake appear to be back on track. The non-profit group behind the project, which was shelved in early 2009 because of the economic downturn, says it's poised to break ground in August. Supporters held a meeting in Saranac Lake on Tuesday where local residents voiced support for pushing ahead with the project. Chris Knight was there and filed this report.  Go to full article

Economic downturn hits Adirondack Carousel

Plans to build an Adirondack-themed carousel in Saranac Lake have been put on hold. The non-profit organization behind the project cites fundraising troubles in the current economic downturn. Preview: Adirondack Carousel Hosts Family Event Saturday

Friends and supporters of the proposed Adirondack Carousel are hosting a milk-and-cookies event Saturday (10am-3pm) in Saranac Lake. Chuck Brumley told Todd Moe that carousel will be a community attraction featuring 20 full size carousel animals -- all indigenous to the Adirondacks. Adirondack Carousel Seeks Songs

Calling all songwriters. The Adirondack Carousel in Saranac Lake is looking for original songs with a carousel theme. The Adirondack Carousel Project is building a full-size merry-go-round in the village of Saranac Lake, to be filled with wooden wildlife, from loons to bears.
