Redrawing the Political Map: North Country's 24th District Faces Changes in 2002

The country is just now catching its breath after one of the most dramatic and controversial elections in our history. But already, the political wheels are turning as Democrats and Republicans gear up for congressional races in 2002. Here in New York, the latest census numbers mean the state will lose two congressional seats. A Democratic district will be eliminated downstate. Upstate Republicans will likely see one of their districts vanish.
