Albany, NY, Aug 09, 2011 — There was a bit of a love fest last month in Potsdam, as State Senator Betty Little, a Republican from Queensbury, introduced Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Democrat. Good things are happening in Albany, the senator indicated, because of the Cuomo's leadership over the first six months of his term.

Aug 03, 2011 — After four years as head of the Adirondack Park Agency, chairman Curt Stiles is stepping aside. His tenure was marked by big clashes with elected officials in the Park, who lobbied Governor Andrew Cuomo not to reappoint Stiles for a second term. But Stiles also pushed through major reforms of the APA's regulatory approach, and engineered the first legislative change to the Park Agency Act in a generation.

Stiles, a former Xerox executive who lives on Upper Saranac Lake, sat down to talk in-depth with Brian Mann. Here's the first part of their conversation.

Potsdam, NY, Jul 29, 2011 — Governor Andrew Cuomo chose SUNY Potsdam as the place to unveil his North Country economic development council. The council will compete with other regions of the state for a $1 billion pot of grant money to create jobs.

Albany, NY, Jul 29, 2011 — Governor Cuomo was at SUNY Potsdam Thursday afternoon, announcing the launch of the North Country's "Regional Economic Development Council".

He's been traveling the state all week with similar announcements; The councils are intended to help boost New York's regional economies by setting up competition for pieces of a $200 million job-creation grant.
