Schumer Visits Lewis County and Massena

Senator Chuck Schumer outlined his agenda of North Country issues in two appearances yesterday. New York's senior senator discussed a statewide snowmobile insurance plan in Brantingham in Lewis County. Another Cheese Plant to Close in St. Lawrence County

Another cheese factory in St. Lawrence County plans to close its doors this year. Losurdu Foods in Heuvelton will shut down it operations on October 18th, putting over 100 people out of work. The closure will leave the county with the least number of cheese factories in its history. Jody Tosti has more.  Go to full article

But every Wednesday, bargain hunters of a different kind park their 4x4s and trailers all along Route 11 for Seymour's Commission Sales weekly livestock auction.
