Red Meets Blue: Productive Polarization In America

Maps of America after Election Day showed a country divided along regional, and many say, ideological, lines. But division and polarization aren't necessarily bad, according to Potsdam political scientist Phil Neisser. Neisser is in the middle of a book about disagreement. He traces its historical causes, and addresses what's happening now: anger, polarization and fear, but also a new movement toward dialog.
