Robert Damoth passed away last year at the age of 76, and his passing created not much of a stir in the tiny village of Cranberry Lake.
But the Adirondack Community Trust has now announced that Mr. Damoth left the community $2.5 million dollars.
Sep 23, 2005 — A truck full of donated relief supplies arrived in Laurel, Mississippi yesterday. It was driven by volunteers from Saranac Lake. The small Gulf Coast town was cut off for three days after Hurricane Katrina hit. Local officials say there was no outside aid for nearly a week after the storm had passed.
