Aug 28, 2014 — State policy say an autopsy performed on a Paul Smith's College student yesterday found the young man drowned in Lower St. Regis Lake after apparently suffering a seizure.
Nicolas Pendl, age 19 from Allegany, New York, was known to suffer from a "seizure disorder," according to police. He was found Tuesday afternoon in the water a short distance from one of the school's dormitories in Franklin County, New York. Go to full article

May 07, 2007 — Students, faculty and administration from Paul Smith's College came together Sunday to try and begin the healing process after the death of two students in a boating accident Friday night on Lower St. Regis Lake. Nearly 900 people attended a "community gathering" on campus to remember the lives of 20 year-old Sean Cornell of Manchester Center, Vermont and 18 year-old Lee Walker of Enosburg Falls, Vermont.
