Nov 03, 2006 — It's been a noisy and nasty political season in New York, with allegations of scandal, vicious campaign advertisements, and truckloads of money being spent. In the 114th Assembly district, which includes Clinton and Franklin counties, the race has been far quieter, but still pretty ugly. Veteran Clinton County treasurer Janet Duprey, a Republican, faces former Hillary Clinton staff-member Andrew Brockway, a Democrat. Duprey Begins Campaign to Unseat Ortloff

Feb 08, 2006 — Clinton County Treasuer Janet Duprey kicked off her campaign to try and unseat incumbent state Assemblyman Chris Ortloff on Tuesday. The official announcement, made at stops in Plattsburgh, Malone and Saranac Lake, sets the stage for what's expected to be a hard-fought Republican primary in the 114th Assembly District, which includes Clinton and Franklin Counties and the Town of St. Armand in Essex County.
