Watertown, NY, Jun 27, 2012 — Matt Doheny won Tuesday's Republican Party primary for the 21st Congressional District seat. With 99% of the vote counted last night, the Associated Press reports that Doheny had 72% of the vote. His opponent Kellie Green had 29%. Doheny will now go on to face incumbent Democrat Bill Owens of Plattsburgh in the November election. It's not the first time that the two will face run against each other for Congress.
