Doheny wins Republican primary

Matt Doheny won Tuesday's Republican Party primary for the 21st Congressional District seat. With 99% of the vote counted last night, the Associated Press reports that Doheny had 72% of the vote. His opponent Kellie Green had 29%. Doheny will now go on to face incumbent Democrat Bill Owens of Plattsburgh in the November election. It's not the first time that the two will face run against each other for Congress.  Go to full article

Reform group wants big shake up for North Country political map

An influential government reform group has drawn up new maps for political boundaries in New York state that would have dramatic impacts here in the North Country.

Common Cause of New York says its redistricting plan would be fairer and more logical than the maps drawn up in the past by politicians. Brian Mann reports.  Go to full article
