Jan 31, 2005 — While millions of Iraqis were voting Sunday, one of their countrymen was competing in Lake Placid. Faisal Ghazi Faisal, who grew up in Baghdad, raced in the America's cup "skeleton" sled race. The 24-year-old hopes to become the first Iraqi ever to compete in the Winter Olympic Games next year.
