Mar 19, 2014 — MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) A Vermont Senate committee is set to address the question of whether Vermont would be sued by biotech or food industries -- and if the state could win -- if it passed a law requiring labels on genetically modified foods.
A bill requiring the labels currently is before the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is scheduled to hear from legal experts about whether a law requiring labeling would withstand a legal challenge. Go to full article
