Lawmakers Sit on Conservation Funding After September 11

Conservation groups say New York's legislature is withholding on tens of millions of dollars that should be spent on environmental projects. The Environmental Protection Fund is one of hundreds of programs derailed by the September 11 attacks. Nw York State Purchases Saranac Land

The state of New York has bought one-thousand acres of land near Saranac Lake. The land deal will preserve miles of undeveloped shoreline. It will also protect an important canoe carry used by boaters. Brian Mann reports.  Go to full article
