Record Number of People using Homeless Shelters and Soup Kitchens
Apr 05, 2002 — There have been a record number of people seeking help at homeless shelters and soup kitchens in New York throughout the winter. At one free breakfast program in downtown Albany, attendance has been growing. It reached an all time record high a few days before Easter. The churches who run the program aren't exactly sure why.
