In Boston marathon bombings, psychological trauma just as real

It's now a year since the Boston marathon bombings. Three people died that day. More than 260 people suffered injuries. This anniversary week, we've heard lots of heartening stories of how far many have come since that frightening day.

Lake Placid run honors Boston

Hundreds of people circled Lake Placid's Mirror Lake Monday night to raise money for the victims of last week's Boston Marathon bombings, and to show their support for a city still reeling from the deadly attacks.

Among the 500 or so people who ran, walked and biked around the lake in the Boston Strong tribute were three Lake Placid residents who ran in last week's marathon.  Go to full article

On Course in Ottawa

Ottawa's biggest race weekend of the year saw thousands of walkers, in-line skaters, joggers and world-class runners on the streets for various distances on Saturday and Sunday. The big event was the marathon, which was somewhat marred by a course mix up that changed the outcome for the front runners. Other races went off more smoothly, except perhaps for the heat. Runners Warmup for SLU Marathon
