Poetry: Friends are like vegetables

It's harvest season. Earlier this year we began a string of conversations and stories about gardening and art. We visited a West Potsdam gardener and artist on her farm - one of many places in the North Country where everything comes together--nature and art. And in November, we'll meet a Massena man who turns sweet potatoes into art. Max Coots is Minister Emeritus at the Unitarian-Universalist Church in Canton. He's also a sculptor, gardener and poet. He's the author of a poem about the joy of friends and the garden harvest.  Go to full article
