Jul 24, 2001 — A toxic leftover from the Cold War is polluting soil and water at sites across the country. More than two dozen sites in the Great Lakes region could be contaminated by a chemical used in rocket fuel. The chemical was either used or stored at the sites. Jun 22, 2001 — Hundreds of French and Indian War re-enactors from around the country are gathering at Fort Ticonderoga this weekend. They'll wear 18th century military garb and recreate pre-Revolutionary War skirmishes. It's being billed as the largest-ever gathering of French and Indian War re-enactors.
