Mar 26, 2014 — STOCKHOLM, N.Y. (AP) State police say bodies dug up behind a mobile home in northern New York have been identified as a missing couple in their 80s.
Police say the bodies of Alvin and Betty Babcock were found buried in concrete-lined boxes on their property in the St. Lawrence County town of Stockholm, about 10 miles south of the Canadian border. Go to full article

Lake Placid, NY, Aug 17, 2012 — The Adirondack Daily Enterprise reports that Seth A. Kilburn was found dead Friday morning. No additional information has yet been made available.
NCPR Report as of 8:15 am: Police in Lake Placid are getting more help from outside agencies as the search for Seth A. Kilburn continues.
Police Chief Bill Moore said eight crews of up to seven people were out searching for the 34-year-old Lake Placid man on Thursday. State police and the state Department of Environmental Conservation also provided additional manpower.
Lake Placid, NY, Aug 16, 2012 — The search for 34-year-old Seth A. Kilburn picked up steam on Wednesday, with volunteers and law enforcement officials joining forces to check big swaths of land and water in and around Lake Placid.
Kilburn was last seen leaving Wiseguys bar in Lake Placid early Sunday morning. Village police have since received word that he was seen shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday on Sentinel Road near Lisa G's restaurant, walking in the direction of the Olympic Ski Jumping Complex.

Mar 31, 2011 — Forest rangers in the Adirondacks have found the body of a Central New York woman who went missing last Friday. 44-year-old Kerry Young was found near the town of Inlet yesterday, following a two-day search that involved helicopters and more than fifty people.
